We know USB. We have been developing USB products for nearly ten years. Several of our engineers have experience with USB development. We have developed peripherals, embedded host products, custom device drivers, Windows and Linux applications that talk to USB devices. We have used drivers native to Windows and Linux, general purpose commericially available drivers, and developed custom drivers, for both desktop and embedded OS's. We are familiar with several of the USB classes, most particularly Mass Storage Class. We own two USB bus analyzers (and know how to use them). We have been involved in both USB-IF certification and WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) certification. We know USB. It is a complex interface with a long learning curve and lots of "gotchas". Don't waste a lot of time learning USB when you can better spend your precious internal technical resources on the core IP that is of value to your customers.
